Our History
Carter Myers Automotive began in 1902 as a hardware store in Petersburg, Virginia. It transitioned into the automotive business in 1924, founded by H. Carter Myers. Through decades of dedication, CMA has grown under strong leadership, preserving its family values while innovating for modern customers.
Employee Ownership
In 1979, CMA became one of the first dealership groups in the nation to implement an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). This unique model empowers every full-time associate to own a share of the company, aligning personal success with the business's growth.
